How durable is the iphone. Say some people are just good at dropping their phone. I wanted to know from people who have it how it is has held up to the drop.

I have only dropped mine once so far. It was on carpet, and it is in a "incase". No problem. I have seen videos on youtube of people dropping them on pavement without a problem.

Watch the slow-motion part of this video and see how long the screen stays lit; pretty damn impressive, I'd say.

CNet did a stress test on the iphone. Part of the demonstration was dropping the iphone on carpet, linolium, and pavement. Phone still worked!

The screen is supposed to be really scratch resistant, wiping with jeans and the like is no problem (ie, doesn't create small scratch lines).

Hmm, I guess it must have had tiny crumbs or something as you suggested.
