I spend hours on my 3G iPhone everyday. The built-in iPhone battery often run out before the end of the day. Can you recommend some good backup battery?

I think that you will find it to be rather hard to actually physically replace the battery on your phone. You will need to get it slightly modified. I had that done here in Thailand and I now use a better generic version of the battery.

    Backup Battery

Mophie makes a slip on battery extender for the IPhone 3g. Also Power Slider makes a battery case in the same fashion. Both double the battery life of the IPhone. Both are about $100.

There is no good backup battery. It is better to save your battery by setting up the display screen in standby mode. Try it once.

Mophie makes a solution for 3GS, too

Mophie (see earlier suggestion above) does make a slip on battery case which will provide the extra power that you need. I will be very surprised if this does not resolve just about all of your power needs for one very full day of iPhone useage.

Just go online to the Mophie website and get their product for the 3GS.

Upgrade to 3GS, not sure of any battery back up....but disable the 3G feature and dim your light level for longer battery life
