My iphone 4 was just out of warranty when the home button stopped working, Having fixed some 3gs iphone for a few friends, I took mine apart replaced the home button, put it back together, but now I have no display. Yhe phone is on as the vibrate on the side works although If i Try to ring it it goes to answer phone. All cables same to be correctly, Whatg have I missed any ideas.
Hi evilyoda , had a similar issue with a 3gs and did a hard reset ie have iphone on ..... Hold power and home button until the iphone turns off then once it restarts let go of all buttons fingers crossed you should see an apple logo......... or the other fix was remove the back cover disconnect the battery for about 30 seconds then reconnect ,,,, turn iphone on .
