Hmmm, I'm not sure I see the use for this unless you spend a really long time in the car. I usually just keep my phone in my pocket and that's about it. I suppose Apple has already tested the waters for demand though
People who spend most of their time travelling can use this feature. Its recommended as its safe and one can just sit back and communicate at ease. People can also use it as a show piece to beautify ur car by showing you are more organised.
My biggest concern would be that I would leave my phone in the holder and then having my car broken into. I think that would be to appealing for a thief if they were to see it.

Those types of holders are great if you are usng the gps apps on your iphone. My boss has a holder that is similar to that and she uses it when she is in the car and needs the GPS for some reason.
