Hello Guys, I'm using an iPhone 3G that is running on OS 3.1.2 and it's jail broke. Would it be okay to upgrade ito to iOS4 on the apple site?will it affect its performance if I upgrade it? What could be the Pros and Cons in doing this? I'm fine even though it will loose its being jail broke(I think something's wrong with my grammar,hahaha ) TIA
If your happy with your current software, I'd keep it. iOS 4 has been reported extremely slow on the 3G. The software has run out, so there aren't any fixes for the lag. I'd say don't update.
I agree with this. I have a 3g that I still use (Im a bit old fashioned) and it is jailbroken to 3.1.3 - I would never update the software. I think that the OS4 for the 3g model was actually designed to make the device run slow so that users would be forced to upgrade to a newer device. Without planned obsolescence most tech companies would go under.
