If you have anything above 4.1 don't bother 4.1 use limerain. It’s the Simplest jailbreak program ever. If you are before 4.1, use jailbreakme simple as well just point your iphone’s browser to jailbreakme.com and make sure it's hooked up to the charger. I've heard it can drain your battery pretty quickly. Not sure if it's true but it can't hurt.
