How To Block People From Texting Me

How can i block people from texting me if theres a way?
quite a few people keep texting me ALL day saying the same thing over and over and over and over again,
i have asked them to stop, but they said they wouldn't, so i was wondering how i can block their number? there not really close friends, so i wouldn't even mind blocking the whole number to stop them texting me or calling me...

this question has nothing to do with the iphone. why don't you try asking your service provider.
