Hope this is the right place. Can't find teh answer using SEARCH or ATT reps.
My wife has the iPhone 3and wants to NEVER use the ATT data plan.
A rep told us to go to Settings>General>Network and disable 3g. Did that. She still gets messages "You have used x% of your data plan."
All her usage is at home/work using free wifi to download/update apps and listen to Sirius radio. That's it. How do we disable/eliminate data plan access?

Please go to the same settings, and disable the cellular network. Next to the the AT&T in the left corner should be nothing, no 3G symbol or edge.

    Thanks for the reply.
I presume "in the left corner" means on the Home screen and not on the Settings>General>Network screen, right?
And what is the "edge" symbol? Don't see an explanation here.

Yes, where the bars and AT&T symbol are. The Edge symbol is an "E"
