Create a "Don't answer" contact, and drop all numbers in you would reject next time they call because more often than not they will call back.

Nice option..I did exactly that, then assigned a silent ringtone to that contact and a photo of a giant red X as the contact photo.

no your phone has to be jailbroken and download iBlacklist from cydia! but if you do any research you might find one on the app store

Unfortunately I cannot get iBlacklist to work. Its not blocking any of the calls I wish for it to do but I know it works great for others. As far as i know I have it all set up properly and it is enabled but it just wont work for me.

So I am looking for an other app that will do the same thing?
    Does anyone know of one?

For those looking for iBlaclist, your phone has to be jailbroken and you will find it through Cydia

I have since seen mention of McCleaner and will check that one out or I hear there is another one called Kuaidial but I dont know how it is

I just gave up my old Samsung Flip-Phone this week for an Iphone 4S. The old trusty Samsung had 2 contact lists, one labeled "Friends" and one labeled "Business". When at work, or when trying to take a nap, I could call-block the "Friends" list and they went straight to voicemail with or without a vibration. It was simple to switch on an off. Vice Versa I could block "Business" when at home on the weekends. The iphone can't do this and my Samsung wasn't even a smartphone! I do not wish to jailbreak my Iphone for risk of viruses. Why doesn't apple have a simple call-block APP like every other phone?! What a simple thing and deal-breaker for me. I'll be returning the Iphone within the required 7 days.

Actually it is not carrier specific, it is just not an option on all cell phones. I recently switched from an HTC Inspire and it came with a Blocked Calls App. I was able to add individual numbers as long as they were in my contact list, and I avoided the call entirely. I still recieved voicemails but I didnt have to keep hitting silent or ignore when the call came through. With the iphone 4 that app didnt come standard nor is there an app available to purchase for this purpose as well. I have AT&T service and I had it with my Inspire also so again it is not carrier specific the app is just not available for the iphone.

Great solution and if you don't have GarageBand ($4.99)' you can get a silent ringtone at the app store for only $1.29 and use that as your new obnoxious contact's ringtone. Be sure to set the new contact's text tone to "none" while you are at it!
