2G phone, V2.0 firmware & GPS feature

    I have heard 2 different claims. Casn anyone clarify if I download V2.0 to a 2G phone that is locked and not jail broken, will I not get the GPS feature? I am now hearing it only works on the 3G network, where someone else said I should get it it will just respond slower.

    I just purchased a used 2G since where I live the 3G network is not finished and I am not eligible for the new 3G for another year on my contract.
    Any help is appreciated.

    rlmadia, GPS is not available on iPhone 2G, even if you install the 2.0 firmware.
